"Skillfully narrated by an adult male, the ten weather topics presented are an excellent introduction to or review of a weather unit. The topics covered include: What is weather?, Where does our weather occur?, Why is it important to study weather?, What is the function of weather on Earth?, Air Masses, Fronts, Variables of Weather, Clouds, Severe Weather, and How we Predict Weather. The examples for each type of weather are well chosen, making the video appropriate for viewers in all geographic areas. Weather terms are well described verbally as well as in graphics to accommodate different learning styles. A mixture of live-action combined with animation and graphics assures that this fast-paced production holds the attention of viewers in the targeted age group. The program may be used successfully for group or individual viewing. The aural quality and technical aspects are very good, and the learning objectives are well met. An excellent purchase for school science curriculums and for public libraries with home school collections."
