Review: | "The issue of bullying is often overlooked in schools, although its implications can become very serious and even life threatening. Many of the discipline problems in school are the result of the act of bullying. In this video, students learn what constitutes bullying and its various forms. They will be able to understand why bullies target certain people as their victims, and how to avoid becoming a victim. Bullies will learn why it is in their own best interest to change their behaviors and to stop victimizing others. The terms aggression, intimidation, and bullying are defined along with real-life situations portrayed by teenagers. Characteristics of bullies are explored, as well as how bullies use the tactics of physical abuse, inappropriate touching, verbal abuse, and emotional abuse on their targets. The differences between male and female bullies are described. The profile of a usual target for bullying is included along with ways to make yourself a less likely target. The video uses an outline form that allows for stopping of the tape for class discussion of each point."
