Review: | "The potential to earn more money, the social connections, and increased self-esteem are the obvious reasons to complete high school and earn a diploma. However, there also are some less apparent reasons such as the fact that most dropouts never receive further education, it is necessary to be a high school graduate to serve in the military, and statistics show a much higher crime rate among dropouts than graduates. As a young adult African American male narrates, scenes show students dealing with problems which contribute to dropping out of school such as pregnancy, family stress, and drug or alcohol use. After reviewing the reasons for staying in school, practical suggestions for dealing with problems are provided and reinforced. The message is obvious - graduating from high school is a necessity."
